We are looking for a caretaker who will be responsible for both the practical maintenance of our premises and buildings, as well as handling IT technical solutions. You will play an important role in ensuring that our facilities are in good condition and that the IT solutions work smoothly for our participants, guests, and staff. The position is a broad and varied job where you will both perform practical tasks and be a support person for technical equipment.

Responsibilities:

Management and maintenance of the properties of the folk high school & coastal conference.

Energy efficiency

New installation, operation & maintenance of electrical & plumbing systems

Lock & access systems

Operation & maintenance of ventilation systems

Operation & maintenance of boiler plants

Inspections & regulatory controls

Administer burglary alarms

Fire safety responsibility and technical issues related to fire alarms

Fault reporting

Outdoor environment

IT-related issues, such as installation and troubleshooting of computers, printers, and other technical equipment.

AV equipment and technical solutions

Installations of IT equipment

Participate in planning and implementation of any major maintenance projects and renovations.

Document and follow up on completed work and maintenance.

Possibility to participate in on-call or standby duty may occur.

Qualifications:

We want you to have:

Relevant high school education or equivalent experience.

Experience in property management and simple repair work.

Basic knowledge of IT technology, including computers, printers, and network solutions.

Previous experience working with IT support, as well as experience working in a school or other public sector is an advantage.

Skills:

Practical problem-solving ability and technical interest.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Good communication skills and service-oriented.
